This is an ancient and peaceful National Trust property near Daventry in Northamptonshire, far removed from today’s bustling lifestyle. The house has a blend of architectural and decorative styles and outside there is a large terraced garden, parkland and paddock

Have you ever wondered what happens between you putting an order in to Amazon and it being delivered to you? Now is
your chance to find out. There are 20 places and you need to be able to climb stairs and walk

HOLIDAY: 7th to 11th June –based at Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa, near Shrewsbury. Visits will include Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Chirk Castle, a day in Chester, and Powys Castle – with a visit to Cadbury World on the return journey.

Outing: Thursday 2nd July – Beaulieu, New Forest, Hampshire
The estate owned by the Montague family includes the beautiful Palace House, the National Motor Museum and a Secret Army Exhibition as well as Gardens and views across the Beaulieu River
Outing: Tuesday, 21st July - Avebury Manor
The National Trust at Avebury have invited a small group of us to be shown round the house, before opening time at 10am on the above date. This tour is to show us what has had to be done since being affected by serious flooding on 5th January 2024. It is just reopening to the public. There is a limit of 20 people and there will be a small charge to be collected on the day.
Outing: Tuesday 4th August - Corsham Court, nr Bath
A Tudor mansion built in 1582 plus extensive gardens, Includes lunch.
Outing: Tuesday 8th September - Wightwick Manor. A Victorian mock Tudor house furnished in the Arts and Crafts
style with a lot of William Morris and pre-Raphaelite art.
Outing: Wednesday 23rd September - Visit to Ham House, a 17th Century house in Richmond on the banks of
the Thames. Includes a garden history tour
Talk: Wednesday 7th October – Cirencester Philip Garrahan – The Paradox of Swindon
Talk + AGM: Saturday 21st November – Lechlade Dr Gillian White – Henry VIII and the Field of Cloth of Gold
All talks begin at 2.30 p.m., £5 for members, £6 for guests. Includes refreshment.
